Theron won a raffle when he was eleven for a free skating lesson. He showed natural talent after that first lesson.
Theron's jumping ability has been described as "scary good." It is said that his muscles literally cause him to spring off the ice.

- 2006 Eastern Sectionals - 10th place
- 2006 New England Regionals - Bronze Medalist
- 2005 Lake Placid Summer Figure Skating Championships - Gold Medalist
- 2005 New England Summer Challenge - Silver Medalist
- 2005 Boston Open - Gold Medalist
During a five year period, Theron has passed eleven official U.S. Figure Skating tests to reach the Novice level, and has competed in nineteen competitions.
Theron has worked with coach Elaine Lyman for five years. She began working with Theron when he was thirteen. He also works with Susie Dee.
Theron graduated from Middletown High School and now attends Middlesex Community College in Connecticut.
Theron wishes to compete nationally and internationally.
Theron's family does need help to finance Theron's skating. Theron's mother, Cynthia, writes: "Finances, an ongoing competiton in itself, remains to be his number one competitor."
